The time is now here to cast your vote to determine the "restoration lighthouse of the year" for the 2004 Wacko pin. You may begin your voting on
Friday, May 23. The nominations which were submitted the most times are listed here in alphabetical order. The nominees are:
Anclote Key, FL Coquille, Or Esopus Meadows, NY Turkey Point, MD Please read over these rules carefully before casting your
ONE vote. 1. Only those REGISTERED on the Collector Forums may vote. If for some reason you are registered on the Forums under more than one name and/or email address, you may use
ONLY ONE name and address for your voting.
This name and address must stay consistent throughout this 2004 pin nomination and voting campaign. If for some reason you have changed your email address, you need to contact Darlene Cook at
bugqueen@earthlink.net and tell her of this change so that your eligibility to vote will be clearly maintained.
2. The committee reserves the right to void any multiple votes made by one same person, or by any unregistered persons. It is easy and FREE to register on the Collector Forums, so please do so as soon as possible, if you have not yet done so.
3.
You may vote for only ONE lighthouse. 4. You may wish to review any lighthouse websites, or those posted on the nomination thread before you decide which lighthouse you think needs our wacko pin preservation donation funds the most.
5.
Your voting will NOT be done on the Forums. You will need to send your ONE same vote to BOTH of the persons doing the tally of the votes, at their e-mail addresses. This is done as a precautionary measure in case there should be a computer glitch or a personal emergency for either committee worker.
Send your email vote to EACH person: Ruthie Cooper
rcooper220@aol.com Darlene Cook
bugqueen@earthlink.net 6. When you vote, please include both your forum nickname and your real name, for forum registration verification, if so needed.
7. The lighthouse receiving the most votes will be the winner. If there is a tie, then another tie-breaking vote will be necessary.
DEADLINE for voting is Sunday, June 1, Midnight Pacific Time Zone 8. The winning lighthouse will be announced after Dennis Whelan has contacted its preservation group to determine that they agree to being a recipient of our donation and will provide us with all written legal paperwork within a reasonable time frame to allow us to meet our design and production deadlines. Disinterest or failure to provide the necessary permissions to meet our deadlines will result in the runner-up lighthouse being considered as the winner for the pin project.
9. Once all has been negotiated successfully, the winner will be announced on the Forums, photos of the Harbour Lights sculpture will be
obtained, and the pin design will be started.
Thank you for supporting the Wacko Pin Project by taking the time to cast your vote.
Keep the Flame Burning.
