As part of the continuing effort to visit and photograph life-saving stations, our plans on our trip to the OBX this past weekend put us passing by the Creeds Hill LSS. With a little help from the folks at Chicamacomico, we realized that we did not drive far enough down hwy 12 to reach the station on Friday before we turned around and headed back north.
Our plans took us to Ocracoke on Saturday, so on our way there, we visited Creeds Hill. Although this station was moved and the original station building is no longer in existence, the 1918 Chatham-Type station still exists and is in pretty good shape.
