We had a really good first club meeting of the year; we got a lot of things covered and of course enjoyed each others company.. Doyne laid out plans for what we need to at the Old Michigan City Lighthouse on our work day coming up at the end of April.. it should be a great gathering again at the light on April 29th, come join us if you are in the area.. New club president kept the meeting on track and moving along, as we covered a lot of different items. Gary opens his lighthouse that he won in our drawing, Open Edition Portland Head lighthouse with a beautiful postcard inside the box.. Earlier in the meeting Gary informed the club about a lot of recent lighthouse publications he had researched, several on International Lights.. I don't know if Sue was admiring Carolyn's hair or maybe she was thinking about how a picture of Chloe would look in Carolyn's lighthouse frame.. Secretary Kat keeping track of the minutes from the meeting which hubby Larry will post on the Club's website for members who couldn't make the meeting.. Dave brought his projector and shared images of what people will see at the Tidewater 2006 - Wacko Trip and HL Regional... Plus he shared some images of possible lights to visit at the Fall Portland Regional.. I brought along the 2006 releases from Harbour Lights for the club member to get a sneak peek of the new lighthouses coming out.. Several members really liked the Staten Island Range Light.. All of the members present had gone on a combination bus and boat tour of Ohio lighthouses which included the Port Clinton Light so it stirred up some memories..

I believe that Dave filled four more slots for the Tidewater 2006 - Wacko Trip with Hoosier Lighthousing Club members at the meeting which means it is real close to full, right Dave!

April 29th (30th) Lighthouse Planting and Work Day at Old Michigan City
we will be gathering at a new restaurant for breakfast at 8:30am on Saturday morning.. It is located just a few blocks away from the lighthouse right across from the entrance to the Lighthouse Mall.. It is located at the old ice cream parlor building.. Museum Director Jackie is going to check on the name when she stops to tell them what time we will be there on Saturday..
