Breaking Ice in Sturgeon Bay

Another interesting video about the frozen Great Lakes and the work of the Coast Guard in breaking ice. This one shows the cutter Mobile Bay working in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

Great video Dave. I have seen them do this on the Hudson River with a much smaller boat. It is a slow process.

And it may be extra slow this year with all the ice! They are going to be very busy trying to get the shipping lanes open so they can start moving things again.
