Let me say this ...

If Stephen says "you must see this LSS," then there should be no debate ... get off you duff and get out and see it before, like the KDH LSS, it is no more.

On the way to Cape Lookout from NJ last week, just one was on my intenary (and that was only because it was next to a Lighthsip). Stephen touted me onto two more, both with words and pictures, and they were well worth the stop.

Collectively, I saw the one in Lewes (maybe a "B") ... the one at Indian River (an "A") and the one at Oregon Inlet (an A+).

Anyone with a love for the lure of these structures would do well to contact this young man before exploring. He will do right by you ... and that's a guarantee.

I'll add my "vouch" to yours, Barry. Stephen definitely knows his stuff, and has found several on the Outer Banks of North Carolina that I couldn't find...except in books.

Did you get a chance to stop at Chicamacomico LSS in Rodante along your journey south?

Judy,

With regrets, as I was passing the sun had already set ...

However, any excuse for a return trip to the OBX, right?

Thanks guys! I just want others to have the fun and excitement of getting to see and experience these stations and learn about the heroic efforts of these brave folks.
