OCRACOKE LH has been added to our Friday, June 23 tour! Our side trip to the Outer Banks is shaping up nicely AND there is still time and space for more folks to sign up to join us.

We will see in one day:
Currituck LH
Roanoke Marshes LH (replica)
Bodie Island LH
Chicamacomico LSS,
Hatteras LH
Ocracoke LH

At Currituck, we will tour the Victorian double keeper's home, have time to climb the lh, visit the gift shop and take lots of photos.

In Manteo, we will go to the Roanoke Marshes Light and be greeted by a representative of the OBC, Inc.

At BILH, we will have a "tailgate" lunch, tour the grounds and visit the museum/gift shop. It's probable that the base of the lh will be re-opened in time for our visit.

At Chicamacomico, we'll be greeted by costumed "characters" who are planning a special treat for us.

At Hatteras, we will have time to climb the lh, take photos and visit the gift shop.

Then to cap off the day, we'll take the ferry over to see the Ocracoke LH.

On the way back up Rt. 12 before we head back to VA, we'll drive back into BILH to see the beautiful 1st order Fresnel in all it's glory.

We will start out Friday morning, leaving from the Holiday Inn in Portsmouth at 7:30. If you think you'd like to join us, please let me know at castleberry1@comcast.net.

Dave's great weekend itinerary coupled with the fabulous day which Judy has put together should make for an incredible,long weekend. Can't wait for June to get here!

The beauty of this trip is that there are no fees, Rip. We will share gas and ferry expenses and pay for our own admission fees and meals. That's it! Glad you are joining us!

Tom, I've been counting and you are right up there where you need to be. You should have no trouble making it to Super Wacko by June 22 or 23.
