saw a canon D660U 42 bit usb flatbed with film and slide on ebay, would this be a good starter for me?(1200X1200) 69.00 would buy it-any help here? I have no scanner, would do slides mostly

Bud - I have this scanner. It is good for prints, but the quality of the scans of slides and negatives doesn't compare to those from dedicated slide scanners.

I don't know anything about that one, Bud, but I'm pretty happy with my Minolta Dimage Scanspeed, if that's any help.
